The slow but sure way to online wealth that would even work for Nigerians

I am really excited about the level of interest that Nigerians are showing towards genrating income online.

It really is a delightful opportunity when you consider the benefits. Online business does not respect a national economy, it transcends all borders and anybody anywhere can compete with the big boys and generate a significant income online. We hear countless stories of average people who are generating ridiculous sums of money online and I want to assure you that Nigerians can and will join the bandwagon.

First though I need to point out, ‘Making mnoey online is not a get rich quick business’. If you are looking for short cuts and instant riches you will be dissapointed.

So what is the slow and sure formula for online wealth.

niche market + expanding customer base + marketing systems + products = £££$$$

Actually this is the formula for wealth period but now average people can take advantage of this formula and start making money online anywhere in the world for next to nothing.

1. Find a niche market : Most people start a business the wrong way around. They create a product and then go and look for customers. They usually waste a lot of time and money putting the product together before they find out nobody wants it.

The first thing you want to do is establish there is a demand in the market that is not being met and then make that market your niche.

A simple way to do this ( There are more detailed methods you can learn of later) is to visit http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/, this is where you can check how many people searched for any keyword or phrase in the Yahoo search engine last month.

Simply type in the keyword, lets say for example, you want to check out the market for ‘ clothes for big men‘, then simply type it in and search. This would let you know if this is something that people are interested in. Then visit www.google.com, type in your term,’clothes for big men‘ and then check the sites that are found by the search engine to get an idea of how much and what sort of service this niche market is getting.

If you believe that there is a big demand and that you can service that market, then you have found your niche market.

I don’t want to overwhelm you just now. I will follow up with part 2 of this article where we will discover how to build an online system that would attract to you people hungry for your product online.( Have you noticed I have not even mentioned product development yet.)
